Very expensive for a water/hydro site at $46. The sites are dirty with garbage and a few pieces of broken glass. The fire pits are also loaded with garbage. The first site we pulled into had a trailer next to it who probably lives in the park long term. There were 5 stray cats under the trailer and cat food cans and garbage all around and under the trailer. Since we were tired after driving all day, we moved to another site. Wouldn't recommend this place because of the price and conditions of the sites. The laundry and shower building seemed newer and was decent.
Great place to stay if your working in the area.
We had arranged camping prior to arriving and we were told that if we arrived late to call the number and someone would come help us. We called and called with no answer so we just decided to pick a spot on our own and set up camp. It ended up not being a problem but kind of stressed us out a bit. The shower houses were nice and clean and it was nice and quiet where we stayed. I could hear that the group camping area wasn't as quiet but that's to be expected. We would stay there again if we had to.
I thought this was an excellent place to crash just outside Calgary. Not great "camping" but for a fire and some beers. Good spot for kids to fenced in play area. I recommend staying here.
For a community campground this isn't a good example. No staff on site but available by phone.
